What is Wellness?
Wellness is the holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing, fueling the body, engaging the mind, and nurturing the spirit. And while it includes striving for health, it’s more about living a full life. "Wellness is a lifestyle and a personalized approach to living life in a way that allows you to become the best kind of person that your potentials, circumstances, and fate will allow." — Don Ardell, PhD

Philosophy
Complementary medicine is used in addition to standard medical treatments.
Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is the term for medical products and practices that are not part of standard medical care. Reflexology, reiki, and auriculotherapy are modalities of complementary medicine and are not substitutes for medical advice or treatment from a qualified physician or practitioner. These modalities cannot diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any specific condition, and the information included on this site is not intended to prescribe or diagnose.
Reflexology, reiki, and auriculotherapy are complementary therapies and should be used together with a conventional medical treatment plan. For suggestions in talking to your practitioners, the National Cancer Institute has created the pamphlet Talking About Complementary and Alternative Medicine With Health Care Providers: A Workbook and Tips to help.

I pay respect to their elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all Indigenous American peoples today.
